Elogio del Pan di Stelle

Chi pensa che siano "solo" biscotti si sbaglia di grosso.
Hanno il sapore di certe sere prima degli esami
Di domeniche mattina assonnate e quiete
Di the in compagnia e qualche volta di lacrime di delusione
(in quel caso i pan di stelle funzionano meglio di qualsiasi psicofarmaco :-).


Who thinks that these are just cookies is wrong.
They have the taste of some nights before the exams
Of Sunday mornings sleepy and quiet
Of teas with friends and sometimes the bitter taste of tears
(in that case "pan di stelle" work better than psyco-analysis :-)

Per questo ho voluto riprodurre dei sempiterni pan di stelle
che pendono dai lobi delle orecchie
si posano sulle mollette per capelli
diventano golosi spillini e bottoncini
o penzolano allegramente dal cellulare.

E proprio in questi giorni mi ha scritto la community manager

Visto che con Misshobby avevo avuto qualche problemino,
ho deciso di trasferire il tutto su una piattaforma di blog,
cosi' da riuscire a gestire meglio il mio negozio.

Pink Craft Bazar has a new house.
As I had some issues with Misshobby,
I have decided to move everything on a blog platform
so that I can manage at the best my shop.

In questo trasferimento ci sono alcuni vantaggi:
- non bisogna essere registrati per comunicare con il venditore
- i metodi di pagamento sono diversi, cosi' anche chi non ha paypal puo' acquistare agevolmente.

In this move there are some advantages:
- you don't need to be registered to contact the seller
- payment methods are different, so that even who doesn't hava Paypal can easily purchase.

Missione zia

Mi ci vedete a resistere ad una qualunque delle richieste delle mie nipotine?
Gia' vi vedo, la risposta e' decisamente NO.
E allora, quando la mia nipotina mi ha detto che per lunedi le serviva per la scuola materna
un grembiule da cucina, per fare "i cuochi"
(cosa che ancora non ho ben capito, ma mi faro' raccontare!),
mi sono messa all'opera e ho creato quello che vedete nella foto.

Can you imagine me saying no to one of my little nieces requests?
I think all of you are saying NO!
And then, when my little niece told me that she needed a kitchen apron for the school
(it seems that they will play a game in which they will be cooks...
but to be true I am not really sure! I will ask for details!)
I have taken my tools and created the apron you see in the picture.

E visto che alla mia nipotina piacciono esattamente gli stessi colori che piacciono alla zia,
non e' stato difficile scegliere e accostare lilla, verdino, rosa e panna.

And as my little niece loves the same colours as the aunt, it hasn't been difficult to choose
lilac, pastel green, pink and cream.

Ci sono molte altre cose che vi vorrei mostrare e di cui vi vorrei parlare, ma e' tardissimo!

Stavolta non si mangiano!

In questi giorni, per tutta una serie di motivi, dovro' astenermi da dolci e affini,

e quindi per compensare cosa faccio???
Li creo in fimo, cosi' non corro il rischio di farmi venire la voglia di mangiarli!
E allora ho creato una visione d'insieme e, "giocando" con la mia macchina fotografica
che e' meno basic di quello che sembra, ho fatto tre foto,
una in bianco e nero, una seppiata e una a colori della stessa inquadratura,
poi ho realizzato un collage ed eccole qua!!

In these days, for some reasons, I need to stay away from all kind of sweets
and so, to compensate, can you imagine what I d?
I create Fimo sweets, so I am sure I cannot eat them!
And then I have created an "ensemble" of the ones I did yesterday
and "playing" with my camera, which is less basic then expected, I took three pictures
a black and white one, a sepia one and a full colours one.
Then I have collected them in a collage, and here you have it!

La "colpa" di questa mia voglia di sperimentazione e' della mia amica Ely,
che in questi giorni si sta sbizzarrendo con le foto sul suo blog...
ma preparatevi... le sue pietanze sono, ahime', vere!

Patterns, patterns, patterns!!!

... e a grande richiesta, dal momento che a molte amiche piacciono le mie creazioni originali

(e anche i miei tutorial sperimentali!!),
ho deciso di realizzare qualche pattern dei miei "cavalli di battaglia".

As many of my friends like my original creations (and also my experiments of tutorials) I have thought to create some pattern of my favourite hand-crafts.

Intanto volevo "presentarvi" la mia ultima creazione originale,
una pochette da cucito in stile kawaii (grazie, Marina :-PP),
tutta cupcakes e dolcetti, che ho appunto chiamato "Sew sweet sewing pochette"
(esterofila io? Si, ahime', fin dalla nascita!)

First of all let me introduce you my latest original creation, a kawaii-style sewing pochette (thanks, Marina :-PP), full of cupcakes and sweets, that I have named "Sew sweet sewing pochette".

Chiusa misura circa 15*15 cm, aperta rivela una grossa tasca centale a cuore,
una tasca laterale arricchita con un cupcake e altre due taschine, di cui una con chiusura.
Ci sta dentro proprio tutto!!!

Measures are, when closed, 1*15 cm, when opened has a heart-shaped pocket a side pocket embellished with a cupcake and two more, one with a lid. You can put whatever you want inside!

E adesso veniamo all'oggetto del nostro post:
nella foto successiva vedete gli oggetti che potrete realizzare con i tutorial,
illustrati e corredati di tutte le istruzioni per essere sicure di non sbagliare.

Veri o finti??

C'e' da chiederselo, visto che la mia produzione di dolcetti di solito e' "sintetica".
Ma in questo caso gli ingredienti che ho usato per creare quello che vedete nella foto sono:
cioccolato, panna, zucchero, cocco e burro e tanta, tanta passione
per il mio primo (e non ultimo, c'era da aspettarselo!) esperimento di cioccolateria...

E adesso guardate!

Quando li ho visti sul blog di Anice e Cannella non ho resistito
e mi sono fiondata al super a comperare gli ingredienti.
Di cioccolata ne ho presa il doppio della quantita'
perche' non si sa mai se domani mi "scappa" di cioccolatare ancora!
E concordo sul fatto che e' limitativo chiamarli Bounty
perche' sono di una bonta' 10 volte superiore!

C'e' da lavorare ancora un po' sul lato estetico,
ma anche in questo caso ammetto di aver avuto un approccio piuttosto scientifico:
ho comperato il termometro e lavorato il cioccolato esattamente alle temperature indicate,
per cui alla fine il mio primo temperaggio non e' stato niente male!

Tra l'altro la prima meta' dei cioccolatini sono venuti meno lucidi,
ma visto che il cioccolato si stava raffreddando in fretta ho dovuto ri-fonderlo
e quando si e' rappreso e' stata una splendida sorpresa
vedere che diventavano lisci e lucidissimi.
Insomma sono veramente orgogliosissima della mia prima produzione cioccolatosa,
e anche sensorialmente appagata.

Come dice il maestro nel film Lezioni di Cioccolato,
un buon cioccolatino deve essere in grado di soddisfare i cinque sensi
e qua... ci siamo andati molto vicini!!!!

These are little treasures with a soft heart of coconut and cream... soo tasteful!!
This was my very first experiment in chocolate making and,
according to how I feel satisfied, it will not be the last!

really a source of inspiration for the cooking lovers.

E dopo tanto girovagare

oggi e' finalmente giunto a destinazione il mio regalo per Nina, con la quale ho organizzato uno scambio privato autunnale. Il pacco e' in viaggio da un mese esatto, e finalmente oggi e' stato consegnato nelle mani della sua destinataria!

And finally today my gift for Nina has been delivered. We have organized an autumnal private exchange and the parcel, which has been travelling all over Europe for more than one month, is now in the hands of its receiver!
Questo e' quello che ho preparato per lei, anche un po' timorosa al cospetto della sua grandissima bravura.

This is what I have prepared for her, a little bit afraid for the fact that she does wonderful and gorgeous works.


Ehm si... ecco, lo ammetto. Ho "rubato" le foto dal suo blog (lo sa, lo sa!) perche' nonostante tutti i miei sforzi le mie non vengono mai belle come le sue!

Ehm, yes, I need to admit it. I have "stolen" the pictures from her blog (but she knows!) because, nevertheless all my efforts mine are never beautiful as hers!

Look at the perfection of the stitches and to the beauty of the finishing!! And also her hand dyed threads and fabrics are WONDERFUL! So wonderful that I bought some of them and I cannot wait to have them in my hands and to create beautiful things!

E a proposito di acquisti, guardate cosa ho ricevuto oggi? (queste sono foto mie, notare la differenza... ehm) Ho acquistato alcuni schemi di Laureline Broderie, molto belli, e un kit di Little House Needlework, "Dream" (nuovissimo!) con i filati in seta di Crescent Colours e non vedo l'ora di ricamarlo, ma devo aspettare perche' ho tantissima carne al fuoco in questo periodo. In piu' mi sono regalata un bellissimo lino verdino, un cotone Crescent Colours e un bellissimo paio di forbicine con il manico che ricorda un gufetto.

And talking about purchases, look at what I have received today (these are my pictures, please note the difference... ehm...). I have bought some Laureline Broderie patters, really beautiful, and a LHN kit, "Dream" (pretty new!) with Crescent Colours silk threads and I cannot wait to stitch it, but I need to wait a little bit because I have a lot of work in progress in this period. Moreover, another gift I have bought for me is a light green linen, a cotton thread also from Crescent Colours and beautiful scissors with the handle shaped as a little owl.

Il Matrioska candy termina questa notte... chi vincera'?

Questo porta tea-light e' realizzato in Fimo, ho usato il trasparente per alcuni dettagli, e' un vero peccato che non si veda l'effetto della fiamma sulle trasparenze, ma vi assicuro che e' molto suggestivo.

ATTENZIONE!!! Non mettere MAI le candele a diretto contatto con il Fimo. Utilizzate le tea light e non lasciate MAI una candela accesa incustodita!

This tea-light holder is done with Fimo, I have used transparent for some details, it's a pity you cannot see the effect of the light on the transparencies. But believe me, it's really suggestive!

WARNING!!!! NEVER place a candle in direct contact with Fimo. Use the tea lights and NEVER leave a lighted candle unattended!

Era da tanto che non vi mostravo i miei lavori in Fimo, e di cose da vedere ce ne sono parecchie!
Iniziamo da Lucrezia, la mia piccola neonata, creata durante un workshop meraviglioso della fatina del Fimo Daniela Messina.

... and after many many x-stitches, something done with Fimo!
It was since a long time I was not publishing any of my Fimo works and I have a lot of things to show! Let's start with Lucrezia, my newborn baby girl, created during a wonderful workshop with the fairy Daniela Messina as "teacher".

E' tenerissima, vero?

Poi mi sono sbizzarrita con qualche bijoux, questi.

Then I have created some bijoux, the ones you see in the pictures below.

Per la collana, oltre al Fimo, ho utilizzato catene di metallo diverse e perle sintetiche. Il bracciale, con elastico, e' invece una bella ghirlandina di rose in fimo e perle sintetiche.

For the necklace, together with Fimo, I have used mixed metal chains and acrylic beads. The bracelet, with an elastic thread, is a fimo roses garland and acrylic beads.

E per finire, visto che me ne serviva qualcuno per i miei lavori natalizi (top secret!!!), mi sono cimentata nella creazione di bottoncini, spillini e complementi per le pochettine da ricamo. I temi? Il mio preferito, ovvero i pasticcini, e il Natale (d'obbligo, visto il periodo!).

Last (but not least!), as I needed some for my Christmas crafts (top secret!!), I have created little buttons, pins and accessories for the stitching pochettes. The themes? My favourite one, sweets and cakes, and Christmas (a must, as we are almost there!).

... di un piccolo SAL di Natale?
Ho visto che sono tanto di moda, e allora in questi giorni di riposo forzato causa influenza ho pensato di disegnare uno schemino che potremmo realizzare insieme, per prepararci una piccola decorazione per il prossimo Natale. Niente di impegnativo, eh? E visto che il tempo stringe, neanche di particolarmente lungo.

What do you think about a little Christmas Sal? I have seen that they are really trendy and in these days in which I am forced to rest because of the flu, I have decided to create a pattern to stitch together, to prepare a little ornament for the next Christmas. It's nothing difficult, as you can see! And as there is not a lot of time left, it's also not very long.


Io ho ricamato su tela Emiane, utilizzando filati DMC numero 909 (verde) e 349 (rosso) ma vi posso garantire che anche come monocolore viene benissimo, specie se utilizzate i filati sfumati (nei prossimi giorni ne vedrete un'altra variante!). La scritta NOEL l'ho ricamata con un DMC metallizzato, impresa veramente difficile, ma risultato molto carino. La dimensione del ricamo finito su Emiane e' di 9.5*9.5 cm, l'area di ricamo sono 81*81 punti. Io l'ho confezionata come un cuscinetto, ma le possibilita' di utilizzo sono moltissime, e aspetto anche le vostre interpretazioni!

I have stitched on Emiane, using DMC threads, 909 (green) and 349 (red), but I can assure you that it turns out beautifully also if stitched with a single colour, better if hand dyed (in the next days you will see another interpretation). I have stitched NOEL with metallic thread, very difficult to manage, but very nice result. The stitch size is 9.5*9.5 cm, the stitching area is 81*81 stitches. I have finished it as a little cushion, but the possibilities to use this patterns are many and I wait also for your interpretations!

Visto che sono tornata, ho deciso di farlo "in grande stile" e per celebrare questo ritorno voglio offrire un blog candy, questo...

As I am back again, I decided to do it "in great style"and to celebrate this return I want to offer a blog candy, this one...

Si tratta di un piccolissimo necessaire da ricamo che contiene un puntaspilli con tre spillini in fimo a forma di matrioskina, una taschina portaforbici e un trovaforbici con calamita per conservare l'ago quando si smette di ricamare (le forbicine non sono incluse). Ho usato un pezzettino di uno schema, Poupees Russes di Tralala, designer che adoro!

It's a very small embroidery necessaire which contains a needlekeeper with three small fimo pins with a matrioska-shape, a little scissor pocket and a scissor fob with magnet to save the needle when you stop stitching (the scissors are not included). I have used a part of the Poupees Russes pattern, from Tralala, a designer I love!

Ricami d'autunno

Lo sapevate, no. che l'autunno e' la mia stagione preferita? L'adoro per i suoi colori, perche' con le temperature piu' basse e' piu' bello indugiare sotto le coperte con un libro in mano, perche' nel suo lento divenire ci porta dritti alla festa piu' bella dell'anno, il Natale. E poi le zucche, le castagne... Per celebrare degnamente l'autunno ho ricamato, utilizzando uno schema di Waxing Moon Designs, una zucca gigante, che poi ho confezionato come portaricamo e l'ho accompagnato con una floss tag che riprende le foglie della cornicetta.

Did you know that autumn is my favourite season? I love it for its colours, I love it because with lower temperatures is nice to stay in the bed, reading your favourite book, I love it because it brings you directly to the most beautiful day of the year, Christmas day. And the pumpkins and chestnuts... To celebrate it worthly I have stitched, using a Waxing Moon Designs pattern, a big pumpkin that then I have finished as a pochette for embroidery and I have done also a floss tag using the border leaves.

Quindi ho cucito sugli angoli delle zucche di fimo sempre fatte da me. Questo e' un ricamo molto speciale per me... davvero molto speciale.

Then I have stitched on the corners some fimo pumpkins done by me. This is a very special stitch for me... really very, very special...

Bene, ci sono un milione di cose che dovrei mostrarvi, come le meraviglie che ho ricevuto dallo swap di Nina (non posso mostrarvi i miei lavori, che sono ancora in viaggio), altre creazioni fatte, altri swap ricevuti e inviati, ma da qualche parte dovevo pur ricominciare, no?

Well, there are another million things I would like to show you, as the wonderful things I have received from Nina in our private exchange (I cannot show my works as they are still on their way for her), other creations done, other swaps done and received, but somewhere I had to restart, isn't it?

Piano piano questo blog prendera' nuovamente vita, e si preparera' al consueto exploit natalizio! Ma per oggi non e' finita... guardate il mio prossimo post!
