Crocette again!!

Si ritorna a crocettare... In questi giorni ho guardato molti blog crocettosi
e mi e' venuta voglia di riprendere l'ago in mano.
Quindi mi sono ricordata di un lavoro progettato
(eh si, perche' lo schema - niente di che, eh? - l'ho disegnato io)
e iniziato qualche era geologica fa e in quattro e quattro otto eccolo finito!

I have started again to cross stitch. In these days I have had a look to many xxx blogs and I desired to take back the needle in my hands. So I reminded to have a work which I created (oh, yes, the pattern - which is not so special - is done by me) and started ages ago and in a very little time it's finished!
Un giorno capiro' perche' ad un certo punto,
alcune cose diventano inesorabilmente degli UFO (unfinished object, ovvero incompiute)!

One day maybe I will understand why, at a certain point, some work in progress become unfinished objects!

Ho completato la taschina portaforbici con fiocchetti in tinta e un bel bottoncino
E poi ci ho messo dentro delle forbicine belle e particolari, tra le preferite della mia collezione.

I have completed this little scissor pocket with some matching ribbons and a nice button. And then I have put inside one of my favourite scissors of my collection.

E poi mi sono detta....... Ma perche' non condividere lo schema???
Non aspettatevi niente di che, e' solo una cosina geometrica
che secondo me si adattava bene all'oggetto,
ma che ricamata con i giusti colori
e soprattutto con i giusti filati
(meravigliosamente tinti a mano da Nina! Ho usato i colori Beetroot e Cold)
e' diventata una taschina veramente carina!

And than I said to myself? Why don't I share the pattern? As I said it's not an artistic piece, it's just a geometric draw that according to me was pretty fit for the object but that stitched with the right colours and over all with the right threads (wonderfully hand dyed by Nina. I have used the colours Beetrot and Cold) it has become a very nice scissor pocket!

Ci ho preso gusto

e poi lo sapete che quello di Natale e' il mio periodo preferito in tutto l'anno. Visto che mi era piaciuto moltissimo disegnare il mio SAL, ho deciso di riutilizzare i disegnini dello schema per creare un bel Sapin tutto mio, da mettere dietro la porta.

You may already learned that Christmas is my favourite period in the year. As I had liked a lot to draw my SAL, I have decided to re-use the little pictures of the pattern to create a very special sapin to hang behind my house door.


Ho utilizzato un lino Graziano e filati Atalie nei colori rubis e sapin, e adesso sto cercando di pensare a come potrei finirlo. Pensavo ad un pannellino imbottito oppure ad una specie di mega pinkeep triangolare rifinito con del cordoncino bordeaux. Voi che ne pensate?

I have used a Graziano linen and Atalie threads, colours rubis and sapin, and now I looking for an inspiration to finish it. I was thinking about finishing it as a quilted wall hanging or as a big pinkeep with a triangular shape, also adding some bordeaux cord. What do you think about it?

Regaleró questo schema a tutte le amiche che me lo richiederanno scrivendomi una mail.

Una piccola chicca

Mi piace un sacco la forma di questa tasca portaforbici, e per ricamarla su tela Emiane ho scelto della seta viola scuro Belle Soie e un cotone viola chiaro Crescent Colours. Lo schema e' un free da questo sito.

Ho poi deciso di realizzare uno scissor fob coordinato, che ho poi decorato con perle sintetiche e un nastrino.

I love the shape of this scissor pochet and to stitch it on Emiane toile I have used the dark purple silk Bellesoie and a cotton thread light purple from Crescent Colours. The pattern is a free from this website.

Then I decided to create a matching scissor fob, and I have embellished it with acrylic beads and a little purple ribbon.

E dopo tanto girovagare

oggi e' finalmente giunto a destinazione il mio regalo per Nina, con la quale ho organizzato uno scambio privato autunnale. Il pacco e' in viaggio da un mese esatto, e finalmente oggi e' stato consegnato nelle mani della sua destinataria!

And finally today my gift for Nina has been delivered. We have organized an autumnal private exchange and the parcel, which has been travelling all over Europe for more than one month, is now in the hands of its receiver!
Questo e' quello che ho preparato per lei, anche un po' timorosa al cospetto della sua grandissima bravura.

This is what I have prepared for her, a little bit afraid for the fact that she does wonderful and gorgeous works.


Ehm si... ecco, lo ammetto. Ho "rubato" le foto dal suo blog (lo sa, lo sa!) perche' nonostante tutti i miei sforzi le mie non vengono mai belle come le sue!

Ehm, yes, I need to admit it. I have "stolen" the pictures from her blog (but she knows!) because, nevertheless all my efforts mine are never beautiful as hers!

E a proposito di acquisti, guardate cosa ho ricevuto oggi? (queste sono foto mie, notare la differenza... ehm) Ho acquistato alcuni schemi di Laureline Broderie, molto belli, e un kit di Little House Needlework, "Dream" (nuovissimo!) con i filati in seta di Crescent Colours e non vedo l'ora di ricamarlo, ma devo aspettare perche' ho tantissima carne al fuoco in questo periodo. In piu' mi sono regalata un bellissimo lino verdino, un cotone Crescent Colours e un bellissimo paio di forbicine con il manico che ricorda un gufetto.

And talking about purchases, look at what I have received today (these are my pictures, please note the difference... ehm...). I have bought some Laureline Broderie patters, really beautiful, and a LHN kit, "Dream" (pretty new!) with Crescent Colours silk threads and I cannot wait to stitch it, but I need to wait a little bit because I have a lot of work in progress in this period. Moreover, another gift I have bought for me is a light green linen, a cotton thread also from Crescent Colours and beautiful scissors with the handle shaped as a little owl.

Ahime', non ancora finita perche' purtroppo ci sono stati degli imprevisti, ma era giusto per darvi un'idea.

Here we are to our appointment with the first part of the Christmas SAL. But before placing the frame pattern online, I would like to show you a work in progress, the hand dyed blue version of this stitch. Unfortunately it's not yest finished because there have been some unplanned events, but it was just to give you an idea.

Che ne pensate...

... di un piccolo SAL di Natale?
Ho visto che sono tanto di moda, e allora in questi giorni di riposo forzato causa influenza ho pensato di disegnare uno schemino che potremmo realizzare insieme, per prepararci una piccola decorazione per il prossimo Natale. Niente di impegnativo, eh? E visto che il tempo stringe, neanche di particolarmente lungo.

What do you think about a little Christmas Sal? I have seen that they are really trendy and in these days in which I am forced to rest because of the flu, I have decided to create a pattern to stitch together, to prepare a little ornament for the next Christmas. It's nothing difficult, as you can see! And as there is not a lot of time left, it's also not very long.


Io ho ricamato su tela Emiane, utilizzando filati DMC numero 909 (verde) e 349 (rosso) ma vi posso garantire che anche come monocolore viene benissimo, specie se utilizzate i filati sfumati (nei prossimi giorni ne vedrete un'altra variante!). La scritta NOEL l'ho ricamata con un DMC metallizzato, impresa veramente difficile, ma risultato molto carino. La dimensione del ricamo finito su Emiane e' di 9.5*9.5 cm, l'area di ricamo sono 81*81 punti. Io l'ho confezionata come un cuscinetto, ma le possibilita' di utilizzo sono moltissime, e aspetto anche le vostre interpretazioni!

I have stitched on Emiane, using DMC threads, 909 (green) and 349 (red), but I can assure you that it turns out beautifully also if stitched with a single colour, better if hand dyed (in the next days you will see another interpretation). I have stitched NOEL with metallic thread, very difficult to manage, but very nice result. The stitch size is 9.5*9.5 cm, the stitching area is 81*81 stitches. I have finished it as a little cushion, but the possibilities to use this patterns are many and I wait also for your interpretations!

As I am back again, I decided to do it "in great style"and to celebrate this return I want to offer a blog candy, this one...

Si tratta di un piccolissimo necessaire da ricamo che contiene un puntaspilli con tre spillini in fimo a forma di matrioskina, una taschina portaforbici e un trovaforbici con calamita per conservare l'ago quando si smette di ricamare (le forbicine non sono incluse). Ho usato un pezzettino di uno schema, Poupees Russes di Tralala, designer che adoro!

It's a very small embroidery necessaire which contains a needlekeeper with three small fimo pins with a matrioska-shape, a little scissor pocket and a scissor fob with magnet to save the needle when you stop stitching (the scissors are not included). I have used a part of the Poupees Russes pattern, from Tralala, a designer I love!

Ricami d'autunno

Lo sapevate, no. che l'autunno e' la mia stagione preferita? L'adoro per i suoi colori, perche' con le temperature piu' basse e' piu' bello indugiare sotto le coperte con un libro in mano, perche' nel suo lento divenire ci porta dritti alla festa piu' bella dell'anno, il Natale. E poi le zucche, le castagne... Per celebrare degnamente l'autunno ho ricamato, utilizzando uno schema di Waxing Moon Designs, una zucca gigante, che poi ho confezionato come portaricamo e l'ho accompagnato con una floss tag che riprende le foglie della cornicetta.

Did you know that autumn is my favourite season? I love it for its colours, I love it because with lower temperatures is nice to stay in the bed, reading your favourite book, I love it because it brings you directly to the most beautiful day of the year, Christmas day. And the pumpkins and chestnuts... To celebrate it worthly I have stitched, using a Waxing Moon Designs pattern, a big pumpkin that then I have finished as a pochette for embroidery and I have done also a floss tag using the border leaves.

Quindi ho cucito sugli angoli delle zucche di fimo sempre fatte da me. Questo e' un ricamo molto speciale per me... davvero molto speciale.

Then I have stitched on the corners some fimo pumpkins done by me. This is a very special stitch for me... really very, very special...

Bene, ci sono un milione di cose che dovrei mostrarvi, come le meraviglie che ho ricevuto dallo swap di Nina (non posso mostrarvi i miei lavori, che sono ancora in viaggio), altre creazioni fatte, altri swap ricevuti e inviati, ma da qualche parte dovevo pur ricominciare, no?

Well, there are another million things I would like to show you, as the wonderful things I have received from Nina in our private exchange (I cannot show my works as they are still on their way for her), other creations done, other swaps done and received, but somewhere I had to restart, isn't it?

Un anticipo di Natale!

Un incontro molto bello quello con Paola, conosciuta sul web qualche mese fa e con la quale abbiamo deciso di organizzare uno swap privato! E finalmente ci siamo incontrate e scambiate i nostri regali! Il suo, delizioso, mi ha anticipato la gioia del Natale... guardate che meraviglia!

I had a very nice meeting with Paola, met some months ago on the web. We decided to organize a private swap and we finally met to exchange our presents! Her work was delicious and it brought to me, well in advance, the joy of Christmas... look, isn't that wonderful?


E questo e' quello che ho realizzato io per lei: uno schema di Little House Needlework - che io adoro, confezionato in pinkeep (strano, vero?? ), con una taschina dietro per contenere le forbici.

And this is what I created for her: a pattern from Little House Needlework (designer I love), finished as pinkeep (strange, isn't it?), and with a little pocket behind to contain the scissors.





E insieme, un piccolo needlebook di felt contenente la mia serie di spillini di Halloween in Fimo e chiuso con un bottoncino a forma di zucca, sempre in Fimo.

And, together, a little felt needlebook containing my Halloween series Fimo pins and closed with a little pumpkin Fimo botton.



E visto che questo swap e' stato molto carino, ne abbiamo organizzato un altro, e il prossimo appuntamento e' a fine ottobre... non vedo l'ora!!!

As it seems that this was a very nice swap, we have organized another one, and next appointment is end of October! I cannot wait!

E adesso vado... nuove sfide mi aspettano!

E nonostante

un weekend strapieno, sono riuscita a "rosicchiare" qualche minuto per terminare questa
golosissima ed estivissima pochettina.

And even if my weekend was really packed with all sort of things, I have the same found some minutes to finish this greedy and summery small pochette.


la mia interpretazione dello schema Le Duo Gourmand di Tralala (adorabile... come del resto tutti gli ultimi schemi di Tralala). C'e' ancora un particolare da realizzare, ma diciamo che la pochettina e' gia' pronta ed utilizzabile cosi'(e ne avevo proprio bisogno!, ci metto dentro tutto quello che mi serve per ricamare!). Ho chiuso con un bottoncino naturalmente a forma di fragola e, visto che ogni volta devo rincorrere le forbici che scivolano inesorabilmente dalla tasca in cui le metto, ho anche cucito una spighetta che serve per legarle e non farle scappare.

This is my interpretation of the pattern Le Duo Gourmand by Tralala (adorable, as all the last patterns by Tralala). There is still a finishing touch to be created, but let's say that my tiny pochette is ready to use (and I really needed it, there all my embroidery stuff has the right place!). I have closed with a small button, naturally strawberry shaped, and, as every time I need to run after the scissor that "slip" out of the pocket I put them, I have also sewn a ribbon to keep them and don't let them skip out.

Cosa diventera'?

Beh, certo, io lo so, e vi anticipo solo che sono a meta' dell'opera, ma dal momento che mi piace da impazzire, non resistevo piu' e non vedevo l'ora di farvelo vedere....

Of course I know, and I can only say I am half the waym, but as I adore this pattern, I couldn't resist anymore and I was looking forward to showing it to you...

Ho utilizzato filati DMC, Crescent Colours e Belle Soie di Atalie, e un bel lino a quadretti bianchi e verdini che secondo me fa risaltare ancora di piu' il tutto.

I used DMC, Crescent Colours and Atalie Belle Soie threads and a beautiful linen with small squares green and white, which is the perfect touch for this stitch.

Manca ancora qualche puntino nelle fragoline laterali, ma tanto se non ve lo dicevo non ve ne accorgevate, vero?

I am still missing some crosses in the side strawberries, but if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't have noticed it, isn't it?

Ce l'ho fatta!

Lo adoro... l'ho ricamato in un battibaleno, sacrificando qualche ora della scorsa nottata, e adesso e' terminato e mi piace da morire!!

I adore it... I have stitched it in no time, sacrifying some of last night's hours, but now it's finished and I definitively love it!!

E' lo Small Token di Blackbird Designs, uno stile che adoro! In realta' avevo un altro lavoro iniziato (quello che avete visto nel post precedente, e per un altro avevo gia' preparato il lino, poi e' arrivata la folgorazione: dovevo ricamare questo! Detto fatto, eccolo, potete ammirarlo gia' finito in forma di pinkeep, con dietro una taschina portaforbici.

It's the Small Token, from Blackbird Designs, a style I love! Actually I had started another work (the one you have seen in the previous post), and for another one I have already prepared the linen, then, as a "flash", I decided I had to stitch this one! From thoughts to action, here you have it, already finished in a shape of pinkeep, with a back pocket to contain the scissors.






E cosi'... e' tutto per oggi... spero vi siano piaciute le mie creazioni.

A destinazione!!!!

Questa mattina ho ricevuto dalla mia amica Edit, la destinataria "segreta" del mio primo swap internazionale, la comunicazione che il mio regalo era nelle sue mani e cosi' adesso sono finalmente in grado di mostrarvelo!


This morning I received from my friend Edit, the "secret" receiver of my first international swap, the communication that my gift was in her hands and so now I am able to show it to you!

Ho utilizzato lo schema di Parolin Camille, Paul et Myrtille per realizzare questa pochettina, che poi ho completato con una taschina interna con cuore e con un cuore di pannolenci che funge da puntaspilli e nel quale ho appuntato i miei spillini di fimo fatti con le mie manine.

I have used the Parolin pattern Camille, Paul et Myrtille to create this small pochette, that I have completed with a small inner pocket with a stitched heart and a felt heart as pinkeep in which I have put my handmade fimo pins.

Le e' piaciuto tanto, questo portalavoro, e ho anche confessato, nel blog che ospita tutti i post e le foto dello swap, che questa era la mia prima pochette ricamata... e tra l'altro mi sono inventata io il modello!

It seems she really liked this trousse and I also confessed, in the blog in which are collected all the swap posts (and pictures) that this was my first stitched pochette and moreover, I also created the pattern!

E visto che la voglia vien ricamando, spero di riuscire quanto prima anche l'altra pochettina che ho iniziato, quella di Des Histoires a Broder, di cui vi mostro una foto del work in progress.

Ma non e' finita qua... proprio ieri sera ho finito di ricamare un altro piccolo oggetto del desiderio e se stasera riesco a finire di confezionarlo non e' detto che non ci sia un nuovo post!

But it has not yet finished. Just yesterday night I have finished to stitch another little treasure and if tonight I finish it, maybe you can find another post later on!

Senza troppi giri di parole... eccolo!

Mi piace un sacco, anche se confesso che non ho ancora deciso cosa farci. Solitamente i quadretti non mi piacciono, al massimo stavo pensando ad un pannellino oppure ad un vassoio (ricamo sotto vetro), ma se avete altri suggerimenti... sono qua! Il ricamo e' grande circa 23*16 cm.

I love it, even if I confess I have not yet decided what to do with it. I usually don't like frames, I was thinking about a little fabric panel or to a tray (with the stitch under the glass), but if you have other suggestions... I am here to listen! The stitch is 23*16 cm.

E adesso una carrellata dei lavoretti che ho fatto per Pasqua.
